Challenge
Spotify had the opportunity to do something special to celebrate Lil Nas X’s highly anticipated debut album, Montero. To own the moment, we were challenged to create personalized content tailored to both him and his audience.
Approach
Not only is it his debut album, Montero also marks the rebirth of Lil Nas X and the beginning of a new era in his career. With Lil Nas X ready to reach new heights, he undoubtedly has a lot of “firsts” on the horizon. What if Spotify could be a part of Lil Nas’ personal growth and capture him experiencing a series of activities for the first time?
Execution
Lil Nas X painted his album cover, sang in German, ate a rattlesnake hot dog (tried to, at least), and more.
